Welcome to the weekend! I don’t mean to sound ungrateful for the days of the week, but this weekend felt like it should have arrived about three days ago, so it was a long wait.
Finishing up a series of posts about collage and mail art, here are a few more postcards that I made and mailed off to old friends and pen pals. When I was starting to learn to draw in high school, my brother told me one thing I’ve never forgotten: “Don’t throw anything away, even if you don’t think it’s very good.” I make a point of scanning almost every postcard I make, and sometimes I’ll print off the scan and use it for stationery.
These are all made from original magazines, newspapers, and sheet music that was being discarded.
